We are extremely proud to be adding 2 experienced people to our Goal Keeping Academy. Emily Wilson and Amanda Stanyer have a wealth of playing and coaching experience to bring to the players at PCEFC. We look forward to seeing our players improve their skills, decision-making and confidence through the guidance of our coaches.
Emily grew up in the Tri-Cities, playing at the Metro Level from 2005-2010. In 2011 she became the starting goalkeeper for the UBC Thunderbirds, where she played until 2015. Her coaching career involves positions with Capilano University, Burnaby Girls Soccer Club, Albion FC and in 2019 our PCEFC High Performance Academy. She is currently the goalkeeper for the reigning provincial champion women’s team playing out of Coquitlam. Emily is also serving our community as a proud Port Coquitlam Fire Fighter.
Amanda played her youth soccer here in Poco, playing at the Metro level. She attended the University of Prince Edward Island, where she was the starting goalkeeper for 4 seasons before graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree in 2020. She has coached with the Royal City Soccer Club, the PEI Whitecaps Development program and Provincial programs for various age groups. She currently is a personal trainer with Innovative Fitness, coaches one of our U8 Girls Development teams, and plans to return to Douglas Soccer as an Assistant Coach in the Fall.
